- What are you most proud of in your block presentation and/or your senior project? Why?
- I am most proud of completing my senior project to the best of my ability and putting so much thought into the activities for my senior presentation.
- What assessment would you give yourself on your block presentation? Use the component contract to defend that assessment.
- I think I would give myself a P on my presentation. I met all the minimum requirements and put forth my best into my presentation.
- What assessment would you give yourself on your overall senior project? Use the component contract to defend that assessment.
- I would give myself a P. I think throughout my entire senior project I did the best I could as far as effort and I demonstrated knowledge about my topic.
- What worked for you in your senior project?
- I had some really great mentors which made learning about my topic easier and finding my answers.
- If you had a time machine, what would you have done differently to improve your senior project?
- I would probably go back and try to find books about patient anxiety. Even though it was hard to find books for my topic, knowing what I do now, I would have started looking much sooner.
- How has the senior project been helpful to you in your future endeavors?
- My project has definitely helped me be more open to talking to people. By that I mean people of a professional type that might be intimidating. Doing interviews and having to find a mentor pushed me to talk to actual professionals and helped me open up, which I know I will need to do in the future. Also, with my new found knowledge about oral health I will be able to take better care of my oral hygiene which I will definitely be able to use in the future.

Exit Interview
- What is your essential question, and what are your answers? What is your best answer and why?
- EQ: What are the best ways for a dentist to ease a patient's anxiety?
- Answer #1: A dentist can help ease an anxious patient by educating the patient about proper oral health and procedures so that they feel confident about going to the dentist.
- Answer #2: A dentist can help ease an anxious patient by being a dentist that has the qualities to make a patient comfortable.
- Answer #3: A dentist can help ease an anxious patient by utilizing less invasive, digital dentistry and referencing techniques that the patient can use to be more comfortable at the dentist. (Best Answer)
- What process did you take to arrive at this answer?
- I did a lot of research to arrive at my best answer. There was a lot of research backing up this answer so I thought my Answer #3 should be my best answer.
- What problems did you face? How did you resolve them?
- With my other two answers, it was difficult to find really credible research. Those answers are based mostly off of my experience around patients and at mentorship.
- I went more in depth when searching the internet. It was super hard to find any books at the library that related to my topic, most likely because my topic is very specific.
- What are the two most significant sources you used to answer your essential question? Why?
- Interview #1 and #2 with Dr. Chris Chen
- This interview helped me decided what I wanted to focus my senior project on and actually led me to some of my answers later on in the process. It specifically helped me come up with my Answer #2.
- The Internet
- Specifically access to websites like American Dental Association, Mayo Clinic, and Colgate. Most of those sources helped me to come up with my Answer #3, which is my best answer.
