Blog 24 - Last Presentation Reflection

  1. What are you most proud of in your block presentation and/or your senior project? Why?
    • I am most proud of completing my senior project to the best of my ability and putting so much thought into the activities for my senior presentation.
  2. What assessment would you give yourself on your block presentation? Use the component contract to defend that assessment.
    • I think I would give myself a P on my presentation. I met all the minimum requirements and put forth my best into my presentation.
  3. What assessment would you give yourself on your overall senior project? Use the component contract to defend that assessment.
    • I would give myself a P. I think throughout my entire senior project I did the best I could as far as effort and I demonstrated knowledge about my topic.
  4. What worked for you in your senior project?
    • I had some really great mentors which made learning about my topic easier and finding my answers.
  5. If you had a time machine, what would you have done differently to improve your senior project?
    • I would probably go back and try to find books about patient anxiety. Even though it was hard to find books for my topic, knowing what I do now, I would have started looking much sooner.
  6. How has the senior project been helpful to you in your future endeavors?
    • My project has definitely helped me be more open to talking to people. By that I mean people of a professional type that might be intimidating. Doing interviews and having to find a mentor pushed me to talk to actual professionals and helped me open up, which I know I will need to do in the future. Also, with my new found knowledge about oral health I will be able to take better care of my oral hygiene which I will definitely be able to use in the future.

  1. I have been honored to work with you this year. You are a sincere student, and I know that you will excel in your life after I-Poly.

You had mentioned that you were interested in the medical field, and I meant to tell you that I thought you'd make an excellent nurse midwife (CNM). Those are the ones who do Well Woman checks and deliveries at Kaiser and other places. The pay is competitive, and there is probably a healthier work life balance than many doctors have : )
